S/H Spellers Triumph in Regional Bee
Nine spellers from Stuart Hall competed in the 34th Annual Regional Spelling Bee (sponsored by the New Orleans Chapter of The Links, Inc.) at Dillard University on Saturday, March 18: Clark C. '24, Balian N. '24, Ryan Y. '24, Peter B. '23, Anders F. '23, Mike G. '23, Benjamin N. '23, Parker S. '23, and William T. '23.
Five Stuart Hall spellers made it to the semifinal round, along with 11 other spellers from various schools across the metro area. The five S/H semifinalists were: Clark, Balian, Anders, Mike, and Parker.
Out of 125 total participants, Clark took home second place. Anders, Bailan, Mike, and Parker tied for 5th place with eight other spellers in the semifinal round.
In addition to being awarded the 2nd place trophy, Clark also received a $50 Barnes & Noble gift card and a copy of the latest edition of the Merriam-Webster dictionary. Our 5th place spellers each earned $25 Barnes & Noble gift cards. Congratulations, Knights!
